The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Grossmont Healthcare District. All District governance shall be exercised by or under the direction of the Board. The Board then appropriately delegates to District officers and employees for all operations.

Board of Directors Meetings: There are two Board meetings per month (every 1st Tuesday and 3rd Thursday of the month) where the Board deliberates and votes on District business, following the structure of the posted Board Agendas.

  • If the scheduled meeting date falls on a legal holiday, the meeting will be rescheduled to the next available date.
  • Meetings are open to the public for in-person attendance at the Grossmont Healthcare District Conference Center Auditorium (9001 Wakarusa St. La Mesa, CA 91942) or you may attend remotely via Zoom (meeting links available by clicking each calendar event below).
  • Public Comment Policy: Members of the public have the opportunity to make formal public comment on items of interest within the subject matter jurisdiction of the District. Comments should address specific items on the Board Agenda. Other matters not on the agenda may be heard as well; however, in accordance with California law, no Board discussion or action can be taken on items not on the agenda. Committee Meetings: Every calendar year, Board members are assigned to committees. Committee meetings are open to the public, for staff and Board members to discuss recommendations on District business for items to be presented during Board of Directors Meetings.

Special Meetings: Special meetings are also open to the public and are typically called for the deliberation of time-sensitive decisions.
