Wellness Wednesday: Therapy for Your Lungs

Therapy for Your Lungs explains the basics of lung health and how pulmonary rehabilitation helps you breathe easier, move better, and improve your daily function. Learn how structured exercise, breathing techniques, and education can reduce shortness of breath and increase endurance.
Daryl Bibbs is a Clinical Instructor trained in Pulmonary rehabilitation and medically complex patient care management. He currently works at La Mesa Rehab, one of only 300 Comprehensive Outpatient Rehab Facilities in the United States. His focus is medically complex patients with chronic lung disease and breathing limitations. As an American Lung Association Better Breathers Club Facilitator, Mr. Bibbs helps lead patient education and community sessions at GHD’s Health & Wellness Library, focusing on breathing strategies, disease management, and improving quality of life. Through hands-on outpatient experience, he has developed strong skills in therapeutic exercise, breathing retraining, functional mobility, and patient education and is passionate about helping individuals regain endurance, confidence, and independence.

Parking in our lot is limited. Additional parking is available across the street in the Brier Patch Campus lot. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early to get settled and parked, as these are our most popular programs.
