Wellness Wednesday: The Immunity-Boosting Power of Food – Exploring the Link Between Immune Health & What You Eat
Join us as Dr. Falquier returns to help you understand the enormous role that what we eat plays in our immune system and why. She will break down information that can be complicated and confusing in a way that is clearly understood so that you will leave knowing what changes you can make in what you eat and drink (and how you move your body!) to begin to improve your immune system.
Sabrina A. Falquier, MD, CCMS, DipABLM – Dr. Falquier (Fall-Key-Ay) loves delicious food. She is triple board-certified in Internal Medicine, Culinary Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. She is bilingual (Spanish and English) and multicultural and worked as a primary care physician for over 15 years. In 2016 she began focusing on Culinary Medicine education and founded Sensations Salud in 2020, which focuses on empowering through nutritional knowledge and culinary literacy. Dr. Falquier promotes Culinary Medicine throughout San Diego and internationally and holds teaching positions at three universities where she has created and teaches courses in Culinary Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine to medical and graduate students . She is the proud host of the Culinary Medicine Recipe podcast, which includes educational video episodes in both English and Spanish and serves as the board chair of the Teaching Kitchen Collaborative Organizational Member – Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center where she also acts as a culinary medicine instructor and consultant.
