SD Food Bank Fall Food Drive
Support the nearly 1.1 million residents in San Diego County who face nutrition insecurity. Nutrition insecurity means that little to no safe and nutritious food is available at home. Donate to people in need this fall by bringing: canned meats, vegetables, fruits, peanut butter, pasta, rice, cereal, and oatmeal to our drop-off bin located in the library. Help us reach our goal this year to collect 200 lbs of food.
When: Saturday, November 18th – Wednesday, December 20th, during Library hours
Where: Grossmont Healthcare District’s Health & Wellness Library (9001 Wakarusa St. La Mesa, CA 91942)
We’re looking for canned goods and are unable to accept glass jars, home-canned, or baked products. The “most needed food items” are:
- Canned chicken & tuna
- Dry & canned beans
- Cereal
- Rice
- Nuts & seeds
- Peanut butter
