Using oil or acrylic on canvas, paper or wood, Cecilia Anastos paints cityscapes that touch on the relationship with sentient beings and nature. As some of these cities will disappear due to climate change, her art is intended to leave a legacy of what they used to look like. She also creates surreal compositions to express her emotions regarding her diagnosis with a rare autoimmune disease, dermatomyositis.

Cecilia Anastos is a self-taught painter. Ms. Anastos is a Board Member at the San Diego Museum of Art Artist Guild, and she participates in national and international exhibitions. Her works have been included in exhibitions at the San Diego Museum of Art-Artist Guild, Newport Beach Civic Center, Vista Civic Center, Connecticut Women Artist Gallery, Art San Diego, Art Expo New York, and many other onsite and online exhibitions. Ms. Anastos enjoys creating commissioned paintings. One of them now hangs at the San Diego Superior Court, office of Hon. Judge Muñoz. Ms. Anastos is also a Certified Health and Wellness Coach.
