Live Well San Diego is the County of San Diego’s vision for a region that is Building Better Health, Living Safely, and Thriving. It aligns the efforts of individuals, organizations, and government to help all 3.3 million San Diego County residents live well.
GHD’s Health & Wellness Library
The Grossmont Healthcare District’s Health & Wellness Library is designed to meet the health information needs of local residents. It is a comprehensive consumer library with free resources reserved for East County-affiliated people that live, work, or have a healthcare connection to the region. 211 San Diego
As a local nonprofit organization, 211 San Diego is the region’s trusted source for information and connections to community, health, and disaster resources. Help is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and in more than 200 languages. They maintain a database of more than 6,000 services and resources that are updated on a real-time basis and our Community Connectors help connect San Diegans to the accurate information they need.
East County Assist
East County Assist is a community-based volunteer reference tool for accessing local resources as part of the San Diego East County Chamber Foundation. They promote collaboration between public, private, and non-profit sectors to discover and action solutions for homelessness in East County.
East Public Health Center
The East Public Health Center provides access to preventive health services & information. Public Health Nurse home visits with emphasis on communicable disease control and maternal child health, particularly for high-risk families and individuals.
San Diego American Indian Health Center
A nonprofit, federally qualified health center providing services to Native Americans living in the San Diego area. Emphasis is on the urban American Indian population, but the center welcomes everyone. All verified American Indians/Alaska Natives are eligible for care regardless of residency or tribal affiliation.
SD Workforce Partnership

Cuyamaca College
Cuyamaca College offers a wide scope of challenging courses, from drafting technology and child development to paralegal training, from computer and information science or ornamental horticulture to automotive technology.
Grossmont College
Grossmont College serves a diverse learning community of students, primarily from suburban locations in East San Diego County, and also from the city of San Diego neighborhoods, and surrounding communities, as well as locations across the state, the nation, and more than 50 countries throughout the world.
Medi-Cal Program
Medi-Cal is California’s Medicaid healthcare program. This program pays for a variety of medical services for children and adults with limited income and resources.
CalFresh
CalFresh is also known as the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). CalFresh is a program for low-income families and individuals that meet certain income guidelines. CalFresh benefits help supplement your food budget and allow families and individuals to buy nutritious food.
San Diego WIC
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides federal grants to states for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age 5 who are found to be at nutritional risk.
