Grossmont Healthcare District Healthcare Heroes Awards
Grossmont Healthcare District holds an annual awards event to recognize front-line volunteer caregivers and other individuals who improve health and quality of life for East Region residents. Nominated by their peers, honorees are considered as true unsung heroes of healthcare whose work might not otherwise be celebrated.
Our 2020 event has been postponed until further notice due to Coronavirus precautions. We thank our community members who shared inspiring volunteer stories during this year’s nomination period, and will provide updates as soon as possible. Meantime, click below to read this year’s volunteer Hero stories.
Who can be nominated?
Nominations are for volunteers who produce measurable outcomes that provide for a healthy East Region community, either by helping advance the delivery of healthcare or public health services. Employees of health organizations are eligible if the nomination reflects volunteer work over-and-above their regular employment. Nominees must have made an outstanding achievement, providing positive results in their given field or community. Nominations from a single organization are limited to no more than three individuals from the same entity. Nominees from prior years are eligible to be nominated again, if they were not previously chosen.
