On July 17, 2025, in accordance with Government Code section 1780(d)(1), notice was posted that the Board of Directors of the Grossmont Healthcare District (District) will be considering the appointment of a new board member to represent Zone 4 of the District.
Appointment of a new board member will be considered at the Board of Directors meeting scheduled at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Grossmont District Conference Center, located at 9001 Wakarusa Street, La Mesa, California 91942.
The Board of Directors meets twice monthly — on the first Tuesday and third Thursday of each month — at 9:00 a.m. The District also maintains nine standing committees and several ad hoc committees. Effective August 2, 2025, board members receive a stipend of $141.47 per meeting for attendance at up to six meetings per month. Additionally, members of the Board of Directors have the opportunity to participate in the District’s health insurance plan.

Letters must state the applicant’s qualifications and reasons for wanting to serve on the board.
All applicants must be registered voters residing within the boundaries of Zone 4, which generally includes the communities of Alpine, El Cajon, the unincorporated communities of Harbison-Crest, Lakeside, Pine Valley and the tribal communities of Barona, Sycuan, and Viejas Reservations. Applicants must file a Fair Political Practices Act Disclosure Statement (“Statement of Economic Interests” Form 700) in accordance with the provisions of that Act and regulations of the Fair Political Practices Commission. The Disclosure Statement must be filed at the District office prior to the appointment.
