Apply for a FY 2026-27 Health Career Scholarship
Students in the areas of nursing, health tech careers, and behavioral health, interested in applying for a post-secondary scholarship, need to first verify their eligibility through their address, using the District map. If you are a current resident (at least 1 year), are employed (at least 2 years), or have previously graduated from a high school within the District boundaries, you meet the initial criteria to apply for one of our post-secondary scholarships. Post-secondary applicants must only apply for one scholarship in a given year and can only be awarded that scholarship once.
- Example 1: I am a first-year Psychology grad student that works part-time at an organization located within the boundaries of the District. This student is eligible to apply provided they can successfully submit supporting documentation that indicates they meet this initial criteria.
- Example 2: I was awarded the Richard J. Bea Scholarship for nursing 5 years ago and am now seeking additional education. I am applying for the Advanced Practice Clinician scholarship. This student is eligible to apply, but would not be eligible to apply for the Richard J. Bea scholarship again.
- Example 3: My degree program is not listed on your list of eligible programs but has a healthcare focus in the areas of nursing, health tech, and behavioral health. This student may be eligible and should reach out to our team to see if they can apply.
