Nadia is a mom, attorney, and advocate committed to improving community health across East County so that everyone has the knowledge, resources, and support to live healthy, joyful lives. She proudly represents residents of the Casa de Oro, Chollas Creek, Del Cerro, Lake Murray, La Mesa, Mount Helix, Rolando Park, San Carlos, and Spring Valley communities. 

Nadia was elected to the Grossmont Healthcare District Board of Directors in 2024, becoming its youngest director in history. Her signature achievements include championing a historic $4 million investment in community health grants, more than doubling prior investments, and leading initiatives to increase transparency, accountability, and public access. In 2026, Nadia earned a Special District Leadership Academy certificate from the California Special Districts Association.

Experienced in healthcare law and compliance, Nadia has advised hospitals on regulations and investigated allegations of misconduct in the clinical health setting. She has focused on protecting patients from high healthcare costs in the emergency room, where they are most vulnerable. The daughter of a nutritionist and an immigrant engineer, she is passionate about ensuring access to high-quality, affordable healthcare for all.

Civically active and devoted to public service, Nadia has served on the San Diego County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls and on numerous nonprofit boards, including at the San Diego Women’s Foundation, the Tariq Khamisa Foundation, and the Jewish Family Service of San Diego. Nadia clerked for the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and served as a Deputy District Attorney at the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, where she successfully tried cases to verdict to protect victims and ensure public safety. She now works as a litigator, investigator, and advisor at Wilson Turner Kosmo, the largest certified women-owned law firm in San Diego and one of the largest in California. 

Nadia graduated from San Diego public schools, Harvard College (where she studied Government and Neurobiology), and Harvard Law School. She lives with her husband, San Diego City Councilmember Raul Campillo, and their two children. You can find them hiking at the Mission Trails Regional Park and cheering on the Padres, the San Diego Wave, and the San Diego Football Club.
