Learn how to safely enjoy our sunny San Diego weather with a presentation on the most common types of skin cancers\, what you should look for when checking your own skin\, and how to prevent and avoid harmful UV exposure. \nSpeaker: Susan McKim is a board-certified Physician Assistant who has over 14 years of specialized dermatology experience. She received her undergraduate degrees from UC San Diego\, where she double majored in Biology and Psychology and has an area of concentration in French culture. Susan earned her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Practice from the Chicago Medical School/Finch University of Health Sciences in 2000. She also received the departmentl thesis research award. She is a member of the California Academy of the Physician Assistants and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and completed her dermatology diplomate fellowship in 2020.
