The classes are gentle\, and combine both chair and standing postures to provide what the class needs on any given day: flexibility\, muscular strength\, range of motion\, agility\, vitality\, balance/coordation. Mindful meditation topics help reinforce that ever important connection between body and mind. DESCRIPTION:Hearing loss is one of the most common chronic health conditions\, but many people do not seek help. Barriers include the high cost of hearing aids and confusion about treatment. During this talk\, Dr. Carol Mackersie will review current clinical approaches and will explain emerging options for adults with mild-moderate hearing problems that are lower cost and easier to access. She will share tips about what questions to ask and how to navigate the hearing healthcare landscape. \n\n\nSpeaker: Dr. Mackersie is a Professor Emeritus and the former Audiology Program Director in the School of Speech\, Language and Hearing Sciences at San Diego State University. She worked as a clinical audiologist at Children’s Hospital (San Diego)\, at Columbia Presbyterian (New York) and at SDSU.
