DESCRIPTION:Go on a Virtual Reality Adventure at the Health & Wellness Library! Using Virtual Reality (VR) technology\, transport yourself to a variety of visually stunning & mentally stimulating environments. Take a walk along the beach\, explore an art museum\, or travel around the world\, without leaving the comfort of the Library. VR technology is used to cue memories\, stimulate the brain\, and provide positive experiences to support overall mental health. \nParticipants will put on a VR headset (30-minute sessions)\, which completely covers the eyes and immerses the wearer in a 360-degree digital reality to be seen through the lenses of the headset. The headset detects head movement\, allowing the user to be fully immersed in the experience. Simply move the head left or right to discover the surroundings! DESCRIPTION:Go on a Virtual Reality Adventure at the Health & Wellness Library! Using Virtual Reality (VR) technology\, transport yourself to a variety of visually stunning & mentally stimulating environments. Take a walk along the beach\, explore an art museum\, or travel around the world\, without leaving the comfort of the Library. VR technology is used to cue memories\, stimulate the brain\, and provide positive experiences to support overall mental health. \nParticipants will put on a VR headset (30-minute sessions)\, which completely covers the eyes and immerses the wearer in a 360-degree digital reality to be seen through the lenses of the headset. The headset detects head movement\, allowing the user to be fully immersed in the experience. Simply move the head left or right to discover the surroundings! DESCRIPTION:A special presentation in conjunction with San Diego Oasis\n\nLearn all about healthy fats and unhealthy fats and the impact that fat has on our health! Recognize how fats and oils are essential to overall good health while identifying the health risks associated with the overconsumption of fats\, particularly trans and saturated fats. \nNadin Benrey is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach\, passionate about helping others achieve their goals to live healthier. She holds a Master’s Degree as a Health and Wellness Coach from Maryland University of Integrative Health\, a certification in Health Coaching by Guiding Mindful Coaching\, and is certified as a Personal Trainer by the American College of Sports Medicine.
