She sees it as both a mind/body integration practice for inner peace\, and a functional movement practice for every body’s health. \nSet in the lovely Butterfly Amphitheater at the heart of the garden\, these adaptive accessible sessions aim for good stretch\, a bit of a workout\, and some valuable mind-quiet time. The classes are gentle\, and combine both chair and standing postures to provide what the class needs on any given day: flexibility\, muscular strength\, range of motion\, agility\, vitality\, balance/coordation. Mindful meditation topics help reinforce that ever important connection between body and mind. DESCRIPTION:Support the nearly 1.1 million residents in San Diego County that face nutrition insecurity. Nutrition insecurity means that little to no safe and nutritious food is available at home. Donate to people in need this fall by bringing: canned meats\, vegetables\, fruits\, peanut butter\, pasta\, rice\, cereal\, and oatmeal to our drop-off bin located in the library. We will explain best practices and preventative measures\, discuss how COVID-19 affects those with obesity and will offer resources for those in need. DESCRIPTION:Chair Yoga\nwith Instructor Jackie Gadd \nJackie Gadd has been teaching yoga since 2007. She sees it as both a mind/body integration practice for inner peace\, and a functional movement practice for every body’s health. \nSet in the lovely Butterfly Amphitheater at the heart of the garden\, these adaptive accessible sessions aim for good stretch\, a bit of a workout\, and some valuable mind-quiet time. The classes are gentle\, and combine both chair and standing postures to provide what the class needs on any given day: flexibility\, muscular strength\, range of motion\, agility\, vitality\, balance/coordation. Mindful meditation topics help reinforce that ever important connection between body and mind. Bring your own mat (chairs and props provided)\, something for hydration\, and bundle up in layers for outdoor weather. \nGarden Members do NOT need to register online. Please sign in upon arrival.
