Senior Health Fair on May 19, 2006
The Grossmont Healthcare District, a public agency formed in 1952 to build and operate Grossmont Hospital, and a coalition of East County-based senior service providers, including Sharp Grossmont Hospital, will present the 7th annual East County Senior Health Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, May 19, at the Santee Trolley Square's Amphitheater area, located east of Target, at 9850 Mission Gorge Road, Santee. Admission is free.
More than 50 exhibit booths will feature free health screenings for diabetes, blood pressure, body fat and stroke prevention, as well as free information on senior housing, home care services, nutrition services and volunteer opportunities.

Grossmont Healthcare District supports
various health-related community programs and services in San Diego's East County
region. The five-member GHD board of directors, each elected to four-year terms,
represent nearly 500,000 people who live within the District's 750 square miles
in San Diego's East County.
