News from Grossmont Healthcare District
The Grossmont Healthcare District (GHD), a public agency that supports health-related community programs and services in San Diego’s East County, recently announced 2007 committee appointments for its five board of directors members.
Dr. John Hardebeck, 2007 board president, will serve as chair of the Finance/Audit and General Obligation Bond committees. Jim Stieringer, board vice president, will serve as chair of the Facilities and Policies & Procedures committees. Gloria Chadwick, board secretary, will serve as chair of the Public Relations & Outreach Committee and Legal/Legislative committees. Bob Yarris, board treasurer, will serve as chair of the Community Grants & Sponsorships and Government Relations committees. Board member Deborah McElravy will serve as chair of the Investment and Library committees.
The Grossmont Healthcare District (GHD), founded in 1952, serves as landlord of Grossmont Hospital on behalf of local taxpayers. The District is governed by a five-member board of directors, each elected to four-year terms, who represent nearly 500,000 people residing within the District's 750 square miles in San Diego's East County.
