Grossmont Healthcare District Healthcare Heroes Awards
Grossmont Healthcare District presents an annual awards luncheon to recognize volunteer caregivers and other individuals who advance the delivery of health services and improve the quality of life for residents in the East Region community. The District recognizes those individuals and providers who voluntarily go beyond their scope of work to positively affect those living in the District’s boundaries.
Who can be nominated?
Nominations are for individual volunteers or volunteers of organizations who demonstrate selfless dedication to a healthy East Region community. Employees of healthcare organizations are eligible, as long as the nomination reflects their volunteer work above and beyond their regular employment. Nominees must have made an outstanding achievement, providing positive results in their given field. Nominations from a single organization are limited to no more than three individuals from the same entity. Nominees from prior years are eligible to be nominated again, if they were not previously chosen.

Volunteers from hospitals and community clinics
Members of service clubs
Members of advocacy or policy organizations
Youth volunteers (health-related)
When are the nominations due?
We accept nominations on a rolling basis, with selections made on an annual basis in the first quarter of each year.
